Asking and addressing questions
Breakroom's stage manager tools allow you to field event-specific or general questions from your users. Assign a Moderator to screen audience questions, or let users direct queries to support staff.

Questions overview

For users

Breakroom's interaction menu allows users to direct questions toward region Admins and Moderators via the stage manager system. This functionality can be used to facilitate a question and answer session, or to streamline user support. Users can ask a question by clicking the Question button.
A user asking a question, with the "Question" button at the top of the screen highlighted.
When a user clicks the Question button, a question box will appear in the center of their screen. They can then enter their question (consisting of up to 200 characters) and submit it to the stage manager system.

For Moderators

When questions have been submitted, Region Owners, Admins, and Moderators will be alerted by the appearance of an orange arrow next to the Question button (the question mark icon) in the stage manager menu.
Clicking the Question button will allow you to read any questions that have been submitted. Questions can then reviewed and addressed individually, by any means that is appropriate. A content question may be presented to a guest speaker, while a request for help may be addressed via direct text message.
When there are no more pending questions, the above notice will be displayed.
Questions are automatically deleted after they are read. Please make a note of any important questions and/or response plans prior to closing the question window.

General support requests

The stage manager menu. Highlighted: the "Support Request" button.
Within the stage manager panel, you will see the Support Request button (an icon that looks like a set of headphones). This button behaves much like the Question button detailed above, but alerts you to general support requests and/or support tickets from users located throughout the region. This is a niche bit of functionality that is not currently enabled in Breakroom's region templates. For more information, please contact Breakroom support.
