Breakroom's UI gives you the tools you need to thrive in the Metaverse. Learn how to find your way around, manage your personal connections, and access various types of media.

Overview

Breakroom's UI, or user interface, contains almost all of the information and tools you'll need to interact in virtual space. When enabled, the UI components will frame the screen.

The tables below are designed to serve as a quick reference guide for the basic UI components and their functions. You can learn more about using Breakroom's conference tools and accessing the Breakroom for Training system in our Getting Started section.

World Owners and World Administrators can enable and disable parts of the UI via the Dashboard. You may not have access to every component of the UI pictured above.

The bottom toolbar

From left to right, the bottom toolbar components include:

UI Component	Function
Show/Hide Chat	Toggles the text chat window.
People	Opens the People window.
Explore	Opens the Explore window.
Meetings	Opens the Meetings window.
Outfit	Opens the Outfit window.
Shop	Opens the Sinewave Shop.
Inventory	Opens the Inventory window.
Hot Bar (drawer)	Allows you to bookmark items from your Inventory (clothing, gestures, etc.) for one-click deployment.

The top toolbar

The top toolbar can be customized to suit your preferences. All listed functions are available for one-click deployment under the expanded hamburger menu, and most options can be pinned for ease of access. This allows you to tailor the UI to your particular workflow or use case.

When pinned, from left to right, the top toolbar components include:

UI Component	Function
Volume	Offers quick access to volume settings.
Music Stream	Enables or disables the audio stream.
Edit Region	Opens the Region Editor. Only visible to users with the appropriate permissions.
Minimap	Opens the minimap.
Create Bookmark	Allows you to bookmark a Region.
Snapshot	Launches the Snapshot feature.
Mail	Opens the Breakroom email window.
My Regions	Displays a list of Regions that you own, along with various management options.
Quests	Opens the Quests window, where you can track your progress on any quests you've started.
Profile	Opens your user profile.
Notifications	Displays and allows you to manage notifications.
Menu	Expands the main function menu.

Additional functions are available through the main menu. These functions cannot be pinned to the UI.

UI Component	Function
Settings	Opens the Settings window.
Full Screen	Toggles full screen mode.
Help	Opens Breakroom's in-world Support Center.
Feedback	Opens the bug report window.
About	Accesses app version information.
Logout	Logs out your current Breakroom session.

The mini map

When open, the minimap components include:

UI Component	Function
Minimap window	Provides a general overview of the immediate area.
Zoom buttons	Adjusts view of the local minimap.
Region Information	Accessed by clicking directly on the minimap or Region name. Opens the Region Information window.

The search toolbar

The search bar located at the top of the screen has several tools associated with it. These include:

UI Component	Function
Connection icon	Details your connection status when clicked.
Clock	Displays the current UTC time, as well as other timezones if clicked.
Search bar	Allows you to search for Regions, users, and Sine Wave Shop items.
